How Can You Help?
Through a special partnership with horses, Southcentral Therapeutic Riding (STRIDE) offers a holistic approach to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of children and adults with special health needs. We strive to be an inspiration and educational resource to the equine assisted therapy profession.
Instructors certified by Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, PATH.
PATH is committed to safe, ethical and professional equine assisted therapy.
Stride is continually in search of enthusiastic volunteers. We need help with everything from cleaning tack to planning and implementing major fundraising events. Here are just a few of the ways that volunteers help STRIDE offer therapeutic riding services to challenged members of our community, year round:
- Become a side-walker or mount leader
- Provide pro-bono profession services
- Assist with fundraising activities
- Provide a horse for one or more riding sessions
- Sponsor a horse or rider
- Donate Tack, office supplies, or other items.
